Now that we've covered what to do, let's
talk about what NOT to do.
One thing you don't want to do is put a
link inside your ebook that you don't control. What am I
talking about?
Well let's say your affiliate link looks
like this... http://mailorder2.viralebook.hop.clickbank.net
You have no control of that link. If the
product owner decides to take the product off the market, or
change anything, you have no control. However if you redirect
your affiliate link you'll be able to change it if you need to
in the future.

Okay, so you just learned to redirect your
affiliate link. It sure would suck if you promoted a link all
over the place and then found you couldn't change it if you
had to, so make sure that you always redirect your affiliate
link.
Another thing you don't want to do is use
dated information. Viral ebooks will be passed around for
years and months to come. So you don't want to put a marketing
message in your ebook that gives any type of dates.
For instance you run a special at your
site for 50% off until March 4th 2008. Well if someone reads
it after that date, they are just going to dismiss the message
all together, so make sure that you don't date
anything.
