Is Viral Marketing?
Viral marketing is pretty easy to explain, but can
sometimes be a little hard to do. However, when you get it
right, it can bring your website a flood of laser targeted
traffic.
Viral marketing happens when you create a
marketing message (ie: ebook, article, report, video,
something else free, etc.) that gets passed from person
to person to person without you having to do anything.
It's like electronic word of mouth.
If you know anything about advertising
word of mouth advertising is the best around, and that's what
makes viral marketing so powerful. It's basically people
online passing it around to each other because it's good

because of this one little viral message. People passed this
message around every time they sent an email.
Now that's a big time example that
probably wont happen to most people. However even the "little
guy" can use viral marketing to really drive the
traffic.
You could create an ebook about the topic
of what you are promoting and give it away for free.
You could create an article about the
topic of what you are promoting and submit it to the
directories. By doing so your article could get passed around
and printed in several online ezine.
You could create a video about the topic
of what you are promoting and submit it to several different
video directories. People love to pass along videos, and many
are even putting them on their websites just to have added
content.
